Local Authority World Heritage Forum (LAWHF)

The Local Authority World Heritage Forum (LAWHF) is an organisation of those local authorities which have an existing, or candidate, World Heritage Site in their area. It seeks to raise public and governmental awareness of World Heritage Site issues and lobbies for appropriate action and allocation of adequate resources. It brings the needs of local government in caring for the World Heritage Sites to the attention of the national government.
LAWHF also provides the means of co-ordinating and publishing information on World Heritage Sites in the United Kingdom and provides an opportunity for the experience of managing them to be shared.

ICOMOS-UK
ICOMOS, the International Council on Monuments and Sites, was founded in 1965 in Warsaw, Poland. Its foundation was inspired by the 1964 Venice International Charter on the Conservation and Restoration of Monuments and Sites. More commonly known as the Venice Charter, this still remains a benchmark for the world's conservation community.
The UK Committee was formed in 1965 and plays a leading role in implementing the World Heritage Convention within the UK, promoting exemplar custodianship of World Heritage Sites and providing links with the international network of ICOMOS members. It therefore plays an essential co-ordinating role in the management of World Heritage Sites in the UK.
